Important Do not make changes to any of the security roles deployed with your system. If you need to modify privileges, copy an existing role and make changes in the copy. About privileges and access levels Security role records in UX manage the privileges and access levels that users in each role have. Privileges Privileges are the action types that a user can perform on records within an entity. For example, you could create a role that has the Read privilege for the Account and Contact entities but does not have the Create or Write privileges (that is, users with this role can view account and contact records but cannot add, modify, or delete them). Privileges include the following actions: • Create – Add a new record. • Read – View a record. (Some UX processes use this privilege.) 3
