• Specific Type – When ‘Specific Type’ is selected, all other options are locked. Select the
‘Specific Type’ option if the promotion can only be applied to specific types of transactions.
This option allows you to define one or more products that are eligible for the promotion
discount. This is managed by creating related Promotion Type records, which define the
specific product(s) that are eligible. See Creating Promotion Type Records for Specific Type
Promotions, below, for more information on creating a Promotion Type record.
After completing your setup and making your selection in the Apply Promotion section, click Save
in the Promotion record toolbar to save the promotion.
Note
Saving the promotion record locks all fields in the Apply Promotion section.
Creating Promotion Type Records for Specific Type Promotions
When ‘Specific Type’ is selected in the Promotion record, you must create at least one related
Promotion Type record to define which product(s) are eligible for this promotion discount.
To create a related Promotion Type record, navigate to Promotion Type from the Related tab of
the promotion setup record to open the Promotion Type Associated View. Click Add New
Promotion Type on the toolbar.
Note
Navigation to related Promotion Type records is only accessible from the Promotion record if the
‘Specific Type’ bit field is selected in the Promotion record.
