Education Items and resulting Education Activity records can be used in their simplest form as the means for simply tracking the history of the professional development activities of an account or contact .
Education Items serve as Award Track Requirements when setting up a path , or Award Track , for achieving an Award .
For awards that require renewal or recertification , Education items serve as Award Renewal Requirements when setting up the requirements for renewing or recertifying an Award . Each Education Item setup has a default status of Enrolled or Passed , and can be tagged as selfreported , membership required , or as an external course ( such as a course from an outside
